German Lace Maker Since 1897 - The 4th generation family owned textile manufacturer of Modespitze is in Plauen/Saxony, a region inside of Germany with a long textile tradition. They are famous for making the finest embroidery and lace for many decades by preserving artisan know-how and combining this with the best fibers and fabrics available. These lace fabrics are exceptionally sophisticated, rich and of timeless taste. Modespitze is providing affordable luxury home textiles that are not only beautiful, but also functional and easy care. All designs are 100% made in Germany, within their own manufactory. Modespitze is GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standards) certified since mid-2016. The textile craftsmen are specialized in particularly elaborate steps: design development, machine embroidery and hand embroidery paired with several sewing processes and finishing. They use quality materials from German manufacturers. Embroidery threads come exclusively from Germany, Austria or Switzerland. Modespitze textiles enhance every table and window with such decor as lace tablecloths, runners and placemats, guipure lace doilies and coasters, florentine tulle, macrame lace and cafe house curtains.
